Naomi Jean Koenig - A Journey in Healthcare Leadership
Naomi Jean Koenig has a passion for elevating patient care standards and fostering positive change within healthcare. Serving as a family nurse practitioner-certified (FNP-C), psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (board certified) PMHNP-BC, and sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) with Selah Wellness Clinic, LLC, in Sandstone, Minnesota, Naomi Jean Koenig integrates mental health services in underserved rural communities.
She played a pivotal role in establishing a successful integrative clinic, focusing on removing substance use barriers. Naomi Koenig is also the first ketamine therapy provider in East Central Minnesota, prioritizing underserved veterans and Indigenous patients. She oversees daily clinic operations and emphasizes patient-centric education for the next generation of care providers.
Her experience as an FNP-C included managing complex acute and chronic conditions in private practice, helping imprisoned patients, and precepting nurse practitioner students. During this time, she also launched Lost Lamb Community, a nonprofit organization aimed at assisting the less fortunate in becoming self-sufficient, with a focus on education and veteran aid.
Naomi Jean Koenig also serves as a consultant, providing strategic evaluation and planning to a wide range of clients, including political campaigns and disaster response groups. She also has substantial experience as a patient care supervisor/registered nurse in a major metro ER, as well as an emergency medical services manager.
